Safety is significantly improved because your hands are where they belong - when they belong there.

With Sharp Shifter every shift is made with both hands on the wheel. This significantly increases safety as you (the driver) is always in the best position to respond to race conditions.

As we all know safety is paramount in shifter racing – but for years we have learned to compromise as racers. Only when you lead do you have complete selection over the race line.

The second factor impacting safety is the conditioning of the racer. As a shifter racer you need excellent upper body strength. Review your self in any event and determine how much time you loose in the later laps of a race event. The fall off is likely due to conditioning.
