Simple Shifting Boosts Junior Dragster Driver
The fast consistent gear changes and reaction times provided by the Sharp Shifter has helped 13-year-old Ryan Boyce qualify 7th out of 28 Junior dragsters in the New Zealand Drag Racing Nationals at only his second meeting in his first year of competition. With only 20 races and 3 months experience Ryan has been through a great learning curve and is keeping up with racers with five years more experience. The New Zealand record for the 12 to 16 year age group for Junior Dragsters over 1/8th of a mile is 8.5 seconds – and Ryan has already been recorded at 8.7 seconds
According to Greg Price of Price Motorsport, the owner of the car Ryan races, “The Sharp Shifter has helped Ryan achieve a fast race time and kept the dragster more consistent and professional to drive, which is something I’m always aiming for. It has done exactly the job I wanted it for, and has been reliable and fault free.”
