After using the Sharp Shifter himself and installing one in the kart of a paraplegic friend, Illinois-based Peter Wheeler has nothing but praises for both the innovative gear shifting device and its New Zealand-based manufacturers. A former formula car driver, Peter believes there is huge potential for the Sharp Shifter in a range of other road sports, particularly for paraplegic drivers who can regain some independence by being able to be competitive against able-bodied drivers while remaining in a safe environment.
